With Re-inspections, a new Inspection is automatically created and can be reviewed and edited before it is confirmed. This optimizes and automates yet another aspect of quality assurance operations, saving time and effort in manually confirming, requesting, or creating inspections. Note that you can only request a Re-inspection for Failed Inspections.
You can also quickly see when a new Inspection is generated by a re-inspection request by looking for the Re-Inspection tag.
To bring flexibility into the Re-Inspection process, up to 5 re-inspections can be created for the same CAPA. You can find all re-inspection information in the Re-inspection Details tab in your CAPA report.
Follow the steps below to learn how to request a Re-Inspection:
Step 1: From your Dashboard, hover over Inspections. Then, click on Inspections.
Step 2: Click on the Inspection ID to find the CAPA for that Inspection (you can use the filters at the top of the table or enter the Inspection ID in the search box).
Step 3: Click on View CAPA.
Step 4: On the CAPA Details page, click on Re-Inspect.
Step 5: You have to provide a comment with your Re-Inspection request. Then, click on OK.
- The Vendor/Factory will then be notified of your request for a Re-Inspection.
Step 6: The CAPA status will then change to Re-Inspection Requested (Unsolved).
- This means the Vendor/Factory has to solve the request by providing a shipment window and inspection date they can commit to.
If you want to Reset the CAPA status simply click on Reset, and then click on OK.
The CAPA will have the Submitted status again.
