With the Auto-Select Inspection Type feature, your associated organizations will easily know what type of inspection they need to select every time they send you an inspection booking.
You can define the type of inspection you want to use for specific inspections based on attributes such as the country where the factory is located, product line, factory risk level, and more. As the inspection receiver, you can create rules in the Automation Center to help inspection creators choose the appropriate inspection type for different bookings.
In this article, you will learn how to configure Auto-Select Inspection Type on the Automation Center.
Follow this step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Click on Configuration and then click on Automation Center
Step 2: Click on Mapping and then click on Inspection Type
Step 3: Click on Create New Rule
Step 4: Enter a Name and Description for your new rule.
Step 5: Click on Add Condition to select conditions for when to use a certain inspection type.
The conditions you can select for your Inspection Type are Country, Factory, Item Attribute, Product Lines, and Factory Risk Level.
- Factory cannot be used together with Factory Risk Level
- Item Attribute can be added a maximum of five times
- Country, Factory, and Product Lines can be added twice
Step 6: Select the Inspection Type for the conditions you defined.
Step 7: Click on the Enabled toggle and then click on Save
When the inspection creator books an inspection with your organization, they will receive a message informing them if they have selected the correct inspection type (based on the conditions you have defined).
As the inspection receiver, you can edit the inspection type when you receive the inspection booking (this can be edited on the inspection detail page). Click here to learn more about how to navigate the inspection detail page.
- The Inspection Creator will NOT have the option to edit the inspection type.
- This feature needs to be configured by the “Book To” organization (Inspection Receiver), and will apply to all associated organizations when they book inspections to the Inspection Receiver.
