Once the Inspection has been released, and the inspector has confirmed or started the inspection, no changes can be made to the Inspection and the editing feature is locked.
If you need to make changes to a Released or In-Progress Inspection, you will need to Reset the Inspection.
- When an In-Progress Inspection is Reset, any progress the inspector has made will be lost.
- Remind the inspector to delete the In-Progress Inspection from the recent reports section on the mobile platform so they can start the updated Inspection.
Follow the steps below to learn how to reset an Inspection:
Step 1: From your Dashboard, hover over Inspections. Then, click on Inspections to go to the Inspection Management page.
Step 2: Click on the Inspection ID to go to the Inspection Details page (you can use the filters at the top of the table or enter the Inspection ID in the search box).
Step 3: On the Inspection Details box on the right side of the screen, you will see a Reset button.
Step 4: You will be prompted to provide a reset reason, then click on Confirm.
- Resetting the Inspection will change its status back to New and will allow making changes.
- The reset reason and date will appear on the Inspection's Activities log and will be visible to all Stakeholders.
