The Sight web platform gives you the option to upload a CSV file that contains the information for your Purchase Orders (POs). This is particularly helpful if you have several POs that you want to add to your Purchase Orders Management page on Inspectorio, saving you the time and effort to manually create each individual PO!
Follow this step-by-step guide to learn how to create Purchase Orders using File Import:
Step 1: Hover over Inspections, then click on Purchase Orders.
Step 2: On the Purchase Orders Management page, click on the File Import button.
Step 3: Click on Purchase Order (PO).
Step 4: Scroll down the page and click on Download Purchase Order Template. Your browser will download a CSV file.
Step 5: Click on Detailed Guidelines for more information on how to use the template.
Step 6: Click on the Mandatory Fields or Optional Fields tabs to learn which fields are required, and which ones are optional.
Step 7:Click on the arrows for more details about each field in the CSV template you downloaded.
Step 8: Open the downloaded template and fill in the cells with the information for your POs. The column labels will guide you on what to enter.
Step 9: Click on Browse File to select the CSV you filled out.
Step 10: Click on Upload File.
Step 11: Wait for the upload to complete.
Step 12: You will see the confirmation message pictured below when the upload has finished.
- A notification will also be sent to your email associated with your Inspectorio account.
- Click on Back to Purchase Orders Management page.
And that's it! Your POs will appear on the Purchase Orders Management page, and you can now use the PO to book an Inspection!
