How to multiply defects when using the Defective Unit feature
Previously defects could be multiplied at the Item ID level - now we've gone one step further! Inspectors can now quickly and easily multiply defects on individual defective units! (Click here to learn more about our Defective Unit feature).
Step 1: Open your Defect List and select the Defective Unit that contains the defect to be copied. Tap on the “Multiply” button of the defect you want to copy.
Step 2: You will see a list of all of the Item IDs in the inspection.
Step 3: Search for the Item ID you want to add the defects for and tap on the 'No. of defects' box.
Step 4: Enter the number of defects you want to 'multiply'/copy. Each copied defect will be recorded on a separate 'defective unit' of the selected Item ID. (The total number of defective units cannot exceed the sample size of the corresponding Item). Then tap on OK.
- Important Note: If an Item ID already has some Defective Units available, the copied defects will be recorded under those existing Defective Units first, before new Defective Units are created.
Step 5: Copy the same defect to multiple other Item IDs by following the same process.
Step 6: Tap on Done.
Step 7: The newly created Defective Units and Defects will be highlighted in blue on the next screen.
