The new Comparison Analytics pages provide a centralized place for you to compare important metrics for quality assurance and activity on the Sight platform. Choose between a wide range of inspection factors to compare, including Factory, Supplier, Oversight Office, Inspection Executor, Inspection Type, and more.
These new pages enable you to quickly compare and benchmark against 2 different data sets, without the need to navigate between multiple analytics pages (for example our Dashboard, Inspection Summary or Defect Summary pages), and eliminates the need for you to filter or search individually for multiple factories or inspection types.
Why is this useful?
This ability to quickly and easily compare data from different inspections can be applied, and is useful in, multiple scenarios. For example, if your eco-system is conducting self-inspections, the comparison pages will enable you to instantly benchmark the results from these self-inspections, in comparison to the results of third party inspections, or inspections conducted by your internal quality teams, at the same factory.
Who is this available for?
These analytics pages are available for organizations with Enterprise subscription packages (by request only).
Our Comparison analytics section includes 2 pages:
- General Comparison
- Defect Comparison
To navigate to either of these sections:
Step 1: Hover over Analytics in the top menu bar
Step 2: Hover over Activities
Step 3: Click on Comparison
How to select factors to compare
Using the filters at the top of the page, you can compare inspection data based on a number of common factors. (For example, you can compare inspection data between Factory A and Factory B, or Product line A and Product line B).
The factors available for comparison include:
Step 2: Next, use the dropdown menus on the right to select the 'objects' (in this case factories) you would like to compare.
Step 3: Click on Compare.
The first page you will see, after you have selected your factors to compare, is the General Comparison page. This page provides you with a general overview and comparison of the inspection data in relation to these factors and is broken down into several sections, including:
- A Summary section
- An Inspection section
- Packaging, Workmanship & Measurement sections
- A Verification section
In each of these sections, you will see the same four segments - each segment displays different metrics.
1. This graph provides a visual representation (for comparison purposes) of the differences between the other metrics listed in the section.
2. This segment displays the metrics for object A
3. This segment displays the metrics for object B, including an additional comparison to object A.
4. This segment displays the average between the metrics for object A and object B, including an additional comparison to object A.
These same four segments can be seen in each section on the page.
In the Summary Section you will see a comparison breakdown of:
Total Production: Total number of units produced by both objects
Purchase Orders: Total number of Purchase Orders for both objects
Number of Bookings: Total number of inspection Bookings for both objects
In the Inspection Section you will see a comparison breakdown of:
Number of Inspections: Total number of Inspections conducted for both objects
Fail Rate: Number of failed Inspections divided by the total number of Inspections (this is expressed as a %).
Defective Rate: Number of Defective Units divided by the number of Samples Pulled (this is expressed as a %).
Packaging, Workmanship & Measurement Sections
The packaging, workmanship, and measurement sections all work in the same way.
In the packaging, workmanship, and measurement sections you will see a comparison breakdown of:
Inspected Samples: The number of samples that were inspected in this section
Defective Units: The number of units that contained at least 1 defect
Defective Rate: The number of Defective Units divided by the number of Inspected Samples (this is expressed as a %).
Fail Rate: The number of Inspections that have failed this section, divided by the total number of inspections (this is expressed as a %).
In the Verification Section you will see a comparison breakdown of:
Fail Rate: The number of Inspections that have failed the verification section divided by the total number of inspections (this is expressed as a %).
Pass Rate: The number of Inspections that have passed the verification section divided by the total number of inspections (this is expressed as a %).
The Defect Comparison page provides you with a tool to compare the historical defects of 2 objects.
To access this page, simply click on Defect Comparison.
On this page you will see:
- A summary breakdown of the defects found for each object
- A breakdown of the mutual defects found for both objects
In the first section of the page you will see a Venn diagram:
1. In this segment you will see the total number of defects found in all inspections for object A.
2. In this segment you will see the total number of mutual defects (or common defects) found for object A and object B (represented by the area where the Venn diagram overlaps).
3. In this segment you will see the total number of defects found in all inspections for object B (Also including a comparison to object A).
Top 10 Defects
In the lower section of the Defect Comparison page, you will see the Top 10 Defects section. This section lists the top 10 most common defects found for each object, including the top 10 mutual defects found for object A and object B.
1. This segment displays the top 10 most common defects found for object A.
2. This segment displays the top 10 most common mutual defects found for object A and object B.
3. This segment displays the top 10 most common defects found for object B.
Defect Code & Defect Category
|The bar graph in each segment in the Top 10 Defects section represents the number of times each defect has been found.||This segment includes details of the Defect Code & Defect Category of every defect found (as well as the number of times each defect has been found).|
