A Defective Unit is an individual unit from your sample selection that contains a defect.
The Defective Unit feature can be found in three sections of an inspection workflow:
- Carton Check
In these sections, defects can be recorded and added to individual samples instead of to the Item ID (you can also add multiple defects to the same defective unit). This feature eliminates the need to decide if a defect needs to be counted for AQL since the system will automatically calculate this for you.
