Important Note: You will only see Defective Units if your organization has chosen to include them in your Workflow.
A Defective Unit is an individual unit from your sample selection that contains a defect.
You will see the Defective Unit feature in three sections of the Inspectorio mobile platform:
- Carton Check
These sections enable you to report and record defects according to your organization’s standards.
There are 2 methods you can use to record these defects:
- Method 1: Recording defects by Item ID (Method most commonly used)
- Method 2: Recording defects by Defective Unit (New)
How to record defects on the mobile platform using Defective Unit
Using Method 1, you needed to add defects based on Item ID. However, using 'Defective Units' you can go a step deeper.
You can add defects directly to the individual unit that contains the defect.
This means you no longer need to decide if a defect needs to be counted for AQL because the system will automatically do it for you!
Step 1: Tap on the item ID for the defect you want to add.
Step 2: Use the drop down at the top of the page to select the specific defective unit you want to add the defect for.
Step 3: Use the search bar to search for a specific defect name or code. Or, click on a drop down to search by defect category. You can also click on the Recent Defects tab to quickly find defects you have added before.
Tap on the name of the defect you want to add.
Step 4: Select the defect severity (if applicable) and tap on continue.
Step 5: Add a description, image and/or video for the defect. Click on Save to finish.
